Good Friday??? Really?

How is it that we proclaim today a good day?  Good Friday???  Really?  Seems like there are other descriptions for today than good.  How about Death Friday?  or Bad Friday?  Dark Friday?  Black Friday?  Sad Friday?  Sin Friday?  See what I mean?  I want today to be called anything but Good Friday.  Good Friday is problematic.  There is nothing good about the day we killed God.  There is nothing comfortable about celebrating or commemorating the day we chose to rid the world of God’s truth.  There is nothing exciting about waking up this morning to the reality that we ignored Jesus. UPDATE: New Church in Haiti!

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope and pray each of you are off to a great start to a the new year.  Okay, so we challenged our entire church family at Frazer to build a church on Christmas Eve for the Deaf Community in Haiti.  Our hope was to raise $145K on Christmas Eve at our Candlelight services.  On Christmas morning our Senior Pastor Tim Thompson and I were excited to announce that we raised $147K!!!  That is how God works…  Today, we are over $155K which will go to building the new church and resourcing it with needed supplies.  I will update this blog in the future with pictures of the building’s progress.  This is one of the most exciting things I have ever witnessed!  A… Read more

Might I be so bold as to ask our current politicians in Washington to read these words of wisdom and act accordingly? We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God.
