The real world NEEDS a real GOD!

We are beginning a new series at Frazer this week entitled, Real World Transformations, where we will highlight the real lives of six people in the Bible. These great heroes of the past also made many mistakes (Hollywood has nothing on these guys!) along the way as God used each of them for extraordinary purposes.  We will study Moses, David, Nehemiah, Elijah, Esther, and Jonah over the next six weeks.  These bible characters will remind us once again that God desires a person’s availability (heart) far more than their ability (mind).  For without the heart for God’s mission, the capacity of the mind is useless.  I cannot wait to rediscover just what made each of these Old Testament… Read more

An Extra Bucket (Foster Care Training)

A few weeks ago we launched the “One Family” ministry at Frazer for orphans and foster care.  During that Sunday morning message I communicated that Rachael and I would be participating in this ministry.  In fact, it dawned on me while watching my children play at the beach with their sand buckets that we could and should get involved in the foster care program in Montgomery.  As my children were playing with sand buckets I noticed an extra bucket left all alone in the sand.  It was as if God was speaking directly to me saying, “Just like this extra bucket in the sand, you have extra room in your house, your family, your budget, your heart for other children who need a place to call… Read more

What if?

During the most recent sermon series we’ve been asking the question, “What if?”  What if life was different in our family, finances, and future as a result of the transformation that God desires for our life.  We have taken a look at leading our families closer to the heart of God.  We launched a new ministry for orphans and foster care children (One Family Ministry).  We looked a bit deeper into our personal finances as we hear God’s wisdom about living debt-free.  And we see that we have been entrusted with God’s resources to be part of God’s kingdom-building efforts on earth. “What if,” is what the world teaches us to ask about our past.  What if I would have done this?  What… Read more
