Watch for the Light
“Watch for the lights!” I can remember my parents driving us through neighborhoods at Christmastime while telling my sister and I to look to the left, look to the right, and “watch for the lights.” As we drove down many dark streets in the cold of winter our faces would light up with joy when we spotted a house decked out with hundreds of thousands (or so it seemed) lights. Christmas seemed to come alive in those moments.
